I want to express my happiness to have the opportunity to be part of such a project.
With METU Crea emerging from the ECITE project, we will have the opportunity to take the experience of METU and integrate three closely related sectors into an international arena. It should be noted that the multidisciplinary work and production environment created by METU Design Factory, ATOM, and GİSAM under the METU umbrella has significantly contributed to shaping the roadmap for METU Crea.
From the very first day of the project, academics, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from various backgrounds, both local and international, have come together to prepare reports on Game Development, Wearable Technologies, and New Generation Film Production, revealing the path followed by these sectors both in Turkey and globally.
As a result, the support and training METU Crea will provide to entrepreneurs with different needs in the sector have begun to take their final form.
The project presentation days we call Info Day play a critical role here.
We have the opportunity to see, listen to, and evaluate both directly sector-focused and multisectoral projects by bringing together universities, training programs, incubation centers, and private and public structures in different cities focused on sectoral needs.
Whether just starting in entrepreneurial life or having moved their entrepreneurship to a different dimension with various experiences, we invite everyone to our Info Day events where we can examine the stages of the projects with experts and METU’s experienced instructors.
If we were to define these under general headings;
Of course, we consider certain topics while evaluating innovative product designs. Criteria such as offering sustainable solutions that consider environmental and social impacts, being a digital product that enhances accessibility and inclusiveness, and being wearable technology that can easily integrate into daily life and meet user needs naturally bring the content of the projects to the forefront.
Considering these and similar contents, by gathering different needs under certain headings, we have the opportunity to share with participants what METU Crea can provide to entrepreneurs. The solutions we will initially offer them can be listed as follows:
Our Info Day events will continue, and we will keep meeting with projects that we can grow with under ECITE. Next, we have Eskişehir, and after that, we plan an Info Day in Konya. For entrepreneurs who cannot participate in physical events, it’s not the end of the world, of course, because project applications can still be made through our website or the application form via METU Crea’s digital platforms.
