METU Crea acts as a bridge to realize innovative concepts in creative technology. Understanding the power of interdisciplinary communication in the development of creative ideas, METU Crea shapes this approach based on METU’s extensive experience. It creates a ‘bridge’ that enables SMEs, freelancers, and entrepreneurs to bring innovative concepts to life in the field of creative technology. This is achieved through collaborations with METU’s affiliates, including the Design Factory, GİSAM, and ATOM.
METU Design Factory
METU Design Factory is an R&D Center where academics from various university departments collaborate, prioritizing interdisciplinary work and industry cooperation. It fosters a culture where students are seen as integral participants in these collaborative efforts.
GİSAM
GİSAM (Audio-Visual Systems Research and Application Center) is a research and application center affiliated with METU. In addition to conducting research, GİSAM produces documentaries and short films focused on social and historical issues. It continually expands its scope through leading and participating in national and international projects.
ATOM
The Animation Technologies and Game Development Center, known as ATOM, operates as a pre-incubation center. ATOM is dedicated to strengthening the industry and fostering a healthy ecosystem for industry stakeholders. It achieves this by providing various forms of support for one year to teams that are active or interested in the fields of game development and animation technologies.
