Our INFO Day event was held in Izmir on November 20, 2024.

METU Crea Info Day 4 took place in İzmir on 20 November 2024.

METU Crea hosted a highly productive and entertaining meeting with creative industry representatives and enthusiasts at İzmir Tarihi Hava Gazı Fabrikası on 20 November.  The latest developments, current approaches and new perspectives in the fields of gaming, next generation visual storytelling and wearable technologies were discussed with our experts and guests. Prof. Dr. Arzu Gönenç Sorguç made opening remarks and gave information about METU Crea. Afterwards, Project Key  Expert Nihat Baran Menteş gave his presentations on ‘Project ME and the Gaming Sector’, our New Generation Visual Storytelling Expert Deniz Tortum on ‘New Media’ and our Wearable Technologies Sector Expert Erhan Ertan on ‘Where are we in Wearable Technologies?’. After our expert presentations on the sectors that are in our focus of interest, our guests moved to the Crea Café area and created their own networks.

The sector experts had the opportunity to closely interact with our participants currently working in relevant sectors and wanted to get detailed information about the sectors. Our experts shared their predictions for the future, and provided information about Project ME, METU Crea‘s project evaluation concept.

The Info Day 4: İzmir also hosted some entertaining moments during the pop quiz competition, which has become a METU Crea classic. Our guests have turned into an important part of our event by participating in a sweet competition. Immediately afterwards, in the Project ME section, our esteemed jury members evaluated the projects submitted to Project ME, all of which were more valuable than one another. We successfully ended our one full day event by leaving the stage to our guests at the open mic section.
